Here She Is !
Bought her for $ 500, missing a few hardware parts and looking like she had been living under a tree for the past few seasons.
She wanted me...she looked good, so I took her.
OK I embellish a little, it took a few beers before she started to look good.
I had never sailed before but like anything That intrigues me, I am willing to give her a go. Once home and started to research, first looking for pictures of a complete rig and then downloading manual and parts list. Hobie is a great Co with history and documents on all. I was missing some key rigging, but having no sailing experience, what you never had, you probably won't miss....wrong in Sailing. My first erection of mast was a disaster and even broke off a piece of base, but thanks to Axel's ability to weld anything, it was repaired good as new. A trip to local Sailing Club proved to be a good move because I was able to look at some finished rigging and even horse trade with some of the good old boys for some used rig. I think they had their way with me but I left thinking I could have her ready for training soon.
